Darin Ruf – OF – Philadelphia Phillies

As a 26 year old, Ruf received his first taste of the majors to finish out the 2012 season in Philadelphia. Having posted a huge breakout season at Double A in 2012 that resulted in 38 home runs, 104 RBI, and a .317 batting average, Ruf brought his powerful bat to the Phillies lineup to end the 2012 season and quickly notched 3 home runs and a .333 batting average in just 33 at bats. With shaky defense the prime target holding him back, Ruf will have an opportunity to claim the starting left field outfield spot in Philadelphia entering the 2013 season.
