During the 2008 season alone, Carter posted an incredible 39 homeruns and 104 rbi, however his batting average was a paltry .259. Carter then followed up that 2008 showing with a 2009 season that included 28 homeruns, 115 rbi, 13 stolen bases, and an outstanding .329 batting average. With the ability to play either first base or outfield, Carter is a prototypical first baseman who could very easily turn into a Ryan Howard type of major league hitter.
