Colorado Rockies – Top 5 Prospects for the 2010 Fantasy Baseball Season. Rankings are based on a Prospects potential to make a fantasy baseball impact during the 2010 season.
#1 – Eric Young Jr – 2B/OF – Age: 25
Equipped with elite speed, Young Jr. could easily lead the entire MLB in stolen bases over the next decade. Posting an incredible 303 stolen bases over 568 games in his minor league career, Young Jr. has all the tools needed to be a quality leadoff hitter at the major league level. With the 2B spot in Colorado currently manned by utility player Clint Barmes, a strong spring training could allow Young Jr. to claim the starting 2B job to begin the 2010 season. But even if Young Jr. does not claim the starting job to begin the season, he is still the Rockies 2B of the future, and at age 25 and with plenty of minor league experience already under his belt, Young Jr. should see his fair share of major league playing time during the 2010 season.
