#1 – Josh Reddick – OF – Age: 23
After receiving his first opportunity for major league playing time late in the 2009 season, Reddick at age 23 is the most major league ready outfield prospect in the Red Sox organization entering the 2010 season. Unfortunately for Reddick, the addition of gold glover Mike Cameron and the once highly touted outfield prospect Jeremy Hermida, really hurts Reddick’s chances of major league playing time in 2010. Yet with the injury prone JD Drew currently the starter in right field, and Hermida not exactly a sure bet to play well, Reddick’s best opportunity for major league playing time in 2010 will have to come at the expense of a starters injury.
